Price Oracle

Price oracles are data sources that deliver trustworthy reference prices for perpetual assets. Used alongside funding rates, they serve to keep the perpetual contract’s price aligned with the asset’s underlying reference price.

Perps⁻¹ uses the same oracle price feeds as Hyperliquid and inverts them according to the formula:

If the oracle price of asset X is:

P_X = price of X in USD

then the inverse index will be:

IX=kPX+ϵI_X= \frac{k}{P_X + \epsilon}

where k is a scaling factor (e.g., k = 1, k = 10^6, etc.), chosen for practical tick sizes and UI display

and e is a minimal constant unit to prevent dividing by zero.
